Sacred Resistance Orange County gathers each month at St. George’s Church in Laguna Hills, to support vendors of the weekend Open Air Market there, and to offer an art project for vendors’ and patrons’ children.
“It’s been a meaningful time for all of us as we get to know our neighbors who are on campus week after week, offering food and gift items to folks who attend,” according to Archdeacon Laura Siriani, a co-chair of OC Sacred Resistance.
“Last week we made Halloween and Día de los Muertos masks. Children and their parents participated with great enthusiasm,” she said. “More importantly, conversations are allowing us to build relationships.”
