The Church Pension Group (CPG) recently presented its 2027 Annual Enrollment & Health Plan Selection webinar, outlining changes to Episcopal Health Plan options, benefits and renewal rates for the coming year.
Among the significant changes for 2027, GLP-1 medications will no longer be covered except for members being treated for diabetes. Plan members who use GLP-1 medications for other purposes may be able to find alternative pricing through the marketplace.
Health plan rates will increase by 13.5% for 2027. With the exception of the Anthem PPO 70 plan, plans will also include changes to benefits coverage, including copays for provider visits and changes to pharmacy coverage.
The Aug. 13 webinar provides benefits administrators, clergy in charge of congregations, wardens and others involved in benefits administration with an overview of the changes and information to help prepare for Annual Enrollment. The presentation also covers plan design and pricing, active and retiree renewal updates, Delta Dental Plan pricing and the Annual Enrollment timeline.
Those responsible for benefits administration within congregations are encouraged to review the webinar and familiarize themselves with the changes ahead of the 2027 enrollment period.
